Eric was recently named "Geometry Master" by a teacher at school. He loves math but is really enjoying Geometry. When he saw that David brought home a Geometry paper he took it upon himself to explain it all and help him. It was so sweet. He was so thorough and patient. I have found myself being very frustrated with Eric lately because apparently he acts like an 8 year old boy! Imagine that:) It's nice to know he can speak intelligently. I don't think the word poop came up even once!

It finally happened
I got the call from the Nurse Trudy today. "Mrs. Carey, David got hit in the mouth with a hula hoop in gym class today and his tooth is bleeding." "No big deal" I tell her. "His tooth is dead and gross and it bleeds sometimes. Send him back to class, he'll be fine." Nurse Trudy calls again an hour and a half later. "Mrs. Carey, it's still bleeding and David just doesn't seem right." SO I went in to look at his tooth. EWWW! It was like a marshmallow...the tooth itself. It was wayyyyyyyyyy more gross than it had been. Off we went to the dentist to have it pulled. David was so scared that he hid in our yard hoping I would leave without him. I managed to bribe him into the car with the gameboy that Aunt Steph had just given us. I had no intention of giving it to the kids today but what could I do? I told him that if he was brave, the gameboy was his. If he stayed behind the tree and made us late then the gameboy was mine. He hopped right into the van and was the very picture of brave from that point on. The dentist couldn't believe how brave he was.
Here's the little trooper with his new best friend...which he has to share with his brothers after today!
Snow much fun!
We went to PA this weekend to play in their snow before it melted. Fortunately there was just enough on the ground Saturday for a little snowmobile-ing.
And of course a little snowball-ing
Thank you Uncle Karl and Aunt Steph for being so fun. The boys seriously are ready to desert us and move in with you!

new music for the kids
P-A-L-E-E-E-E-E-E-A-S-E don't make me listen to these songs anymore.
He was referring to the 101 Bible songs that he has been listening to since he was 3. Levi very much loves them but apparently Eric has had enough. So I went out in search of some more grown up Christian music for him. I ended up with this pureNRG CD. When I first heard it I thought "Oh no! my children are going to think they are at a dance club for teeny boppers!" Then I reminded myself that my kids have no idea what a dance club is and I determined to listen to the words despite the "kid" voices.
It turns out that this is a really great CD. Eric, who hates to sing, can't can't stop singing the song What if? We listen to it on the way to school and then I have it in my head for the rest of the day. Then he wants to listen to it on the way home and bring it in the house and listen to it blasting while he does his homework.
It's definitely teeny bopper-ish but has such a great message. I am glad that music like this exists for younger kids. Now, I'll just pray that my kids don't devolope a love for the dance club scene as they get older as a result of this music.
I'll try to put What if on my playlist so if it isn't playing already you can click on it to listen.

Kemuel's Birthday
Look at the size of those kids! It makes me think we may be getting older. But...Naaaa...I refuse to believe it.
Kem, I love you more with every year that passes!
Happy Birthday

No Bloggin'
Sorry for the lack of posts. I have been so busy scrapbooking I haven't had time to blog. It is so nice to finally get pages done. I almost have David's baby book done up to his first birthday. Yep, I'm that far behind! I just finished geting all of my pictures in order so I can zip through the old ones and get them finished. Thankfully I have most of our current pics on here so when I get around to printing them I will actually have some journaling to go along:) Well, I'm off to go clean a bit since I have been neglecting that as well. I am so blessed to have a husband who cherishes the scrapbook pages more than a perfect house!

Geocaching
Our team leaders conferrred, synced their GPS's and led us to the jackpot.
"Mine says it should be within here and 17 feet of here. What does yours say?"
Jackpot #1 Karch found this one. Conner is looking to see what treasures await.
Jackpot #2 Karch also found this one...He is one good Geocacher!
Another find. Uncle Karl found this one but Kem was putting it back.
