O, captain, our captain...please defend our goal
(For best effects turn up your speaker volume and pause the music player which is playing on the right hand column of this screen ~ near the bottom)
Eric was the captain of the team for this particular day. It happened to be his third game. I promise you he is doing much better! I have a feeling that this is what I looked like when I played softball in high school. I may not have actually looked like that but I can assure you I remember feeling like that! He certainly is entertaining to watch!! Notice Grammie with David, Levi and Skippy in the background...he was giving them a great show. Thanks for coming Grammie!

First Game!
I'm sorry did I say excitement? I meant chaos...pardon me!
Doesn't he look like the "real deal"? You'd never know he didn't even move while he was "playing"
Just kidding. He was only paralyzed for about 5 minutes while he figured out what was going on. After we told him to just chase the ball he did much better! Could those jerseys be any uglier? I am not kidding when I tell you they are the exact color of a highlighter. The ref called it green but he was trying to be nice! Anyway, we beat the other team (Eric's old school) 4-1. Thank goodness for Andrew and Daniel!!

Shorebirds Baseball
After the game the kids were allowed to run around the bases. I have no idea who won the game but I heard all about running around the bases and how expensive the food was!
I can hear you thinking "well what did you do with your quiet evening, Tery" to which I will reply...I still had Levi! Actually, Levi and I headed out to Home Depot to buy paint because it was on sale this week and I am buggin' to finally paint the nasty walls in this house. But first I got a phone call so we didn't leave until after 6pm. We were half way to the store when Levi announced he had to "POOP". That child has to poop everytime we are at a store no matter what time of day it is. Sooooooooooo, we spent 20 minutes in the bathroom at Home Depot. By the time we finally got to the paint station the sweet young man there said "Ma'am they will be closing the last register in 2 minutes." And then they turned off the lights. Who knew Home Depot closed at 7:00 on a Sunday. So basically with my quiet-er evening I spent 35 minutes in the car to drive Levi to Home Depot just to do his business and drive home. You're jealous of how much fun I had last night...I know you are!!

First week of school
I know I'm a bit late on this but here is a picture from Eric's first day of school.
I actually forgot to take my camera to the bus stop on the first day of school so these bus pictures are from the second day of school. Would you believe that I have to drive him to the bus stop? It's rediculous! It only takes me 4 extra minutes to drive him to school but he loves the bus...cranky bus driver and all!
The problem with really great things is that they just don't last! Napping was scarce the rest of the week which was frustrating because I feel like I have so much work to do to get ready for MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) this year. Check out our website http://www.oakridgemops.org/ Our leadership team should probably have had the whole upcoming year pretty much planned out by now. But seeing as we have 18 children between the 7 of us we didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I mean really you just have to laugh at that!! However, now it is crunch time...we start September 12th. I lothe the feeling of being behind and letting others down because I am not on track. I've got to let it go. God will provide for this group of women and their children despite what I in my own strength am able (or unable)to accomplish...I am banking on it!
